Group 1 (left, Cynthia, Emily, Elena and Giovanni) discuss how to use the chain model as 1:1 option to the design process. Group 2 (right, Scott, Martin, Rafael, Florence, and Isabel) go over the production process.

Group 3 (Paula, Lara, Fionna, and Oscar) discuss the possibilities of the prototype being more of an object that is part of a greater system, its use and materiality.

Group 1 presents the "Flyway Psychotherapy Lounge". The concept used the catenary chain model that used the same curve of the primary rib, continuing it as an inverted arch that results in an ergonomic form. Their application was seen as possible public space, brisoleil/bench.

Group 2 proposes the "Picapedrer Descansar" vault which also suggests the design of a bench in tandem with the vault. The group focused more on the actual shape of the object and how to radicalize the shape will considering the thrust/structural distribution on the site.

Group 3 opted to use the digital interface for their presentation, modeling a vault that operated as object of multiple scales... by using the Catalan vault technique, the piece ranged from furniture or brisoleil, to structural system that could be deployed as interconnected arrays that could even work as water harvesting infrastructure.

The group discusses all the proposals and opt to integrate elements of each in order to develop the singular project to be erected during Week 2.

Santiago and Tatiana have a robust dialogue with the students about the location of the foundation in regards to the structural make-up of the site versus the actual form and use of the project.
